ProxyAI

Telegram AI Chatbot

Run a Telegram bot that answers from your own content. Telegram only lets bots be created inside Telegram itself, so setup is one short visit to BotFather and one paste, about ninety seconds, and nothing to configure afterwards.

BotFather is not a ProxyAI requirement

Every Telegram bot on every platform is created by chatting with an account called @BotFather; there is no API that skips it. ProxyAI puts a walkthrough at the top of the dialog so you are not switching between documentation and a chat window, and what you bring back is a single token.

Groups behave differently from direct messages

Telegram's privacy mode decides whether your bot sees every message in a group or only the ones addressed to it. That setting lives in BotFather rather than in ProxyAI, and it changes what the bot can answer, worth deciding deliberately before you add the bot to a busy group, because it also decides how much it costs to run there.

What connecting Telegram involves

  • One Visit to BotFather, One Paste
  • Fill In the Dialog
  • What Happens When You Save
  • Test It

Telegram questions we get asked

Do I have to keep the token somewhere safe?
ProxyAI stores it encrypted once you save. If it ever leaks, revoke it in BotFather and paste a fresh one.
What if I mistype the bot username?
ProxyAI checks the real username with Telegram when you save, so a small mistake corrects itself.
Can one bot serve Telegram and my website at once?
Yes. Channels are configured per bot, so the same assistant and the same knowledge answer on every channel you connect.
