ProxyAI

WooCommerce Store

WordPress plugin walkthrough

What This Add-On Does

It connects your bot to the live WooCommerce store behind the site the plugin is installed on:

  • Finds products by name or description in your live catalogue.
  • Answers on a specific product, variation and price.
  • Says whether something is in stock or out of stock.
  • Adds items to the cart the shopper is looking at, on your own site.
  • Looks up an order for a customer who is not logged in, from their order number and billing email.
  • On WhatsApp, LINE and other chat channels, sends a link that fills the cart and opens checkout.

WooCommerce stores only, and only for a bot that came from the ProxyAI WordPress plugin, the store it reads is the site the plugin is connected to. It is the WooCommerce version of MCP + Cart Actions on Shopify, at the same price. You never need both.

What It Cannot Do

It never gives stock numbers, in stock or out of stock, nothing more. That is deliberate: exact counts are your business, and they are often out of date by the time a shopper reads them.

It only sees published products. Drafts and private products stay invisible.

Before You Buy

  • WooCommerce must be active on the site. The bottom of the ProxyAI dashboard says WooCommerce detected when it is.
  • For checkout links on chat channels you also need WooCommerce 10.0 or newer, and Settings → Permalinks set to anything other than *Plain*. Without those the bot still answers product questions everywhere, it just cannot hand over a cart outside your website.

Buy It

It is unlocked by the plan you pick in the plugin's Choose add-ons step, and there is nothing to buy separately. Free unlocks it with a small Powered by ProxyAI line under the chat box on your site. The $69 Deal, a one-time charge with no subscription, unlocks it with no badge and $69 of AI credits. The features are identical on both. To move from Free to the Deal, choose a greyed-out entry in the sidebar or reset onboarding from Settings.

Control What the Bot May Do

Open Configurations → Store actions in the plugin's dashboard. Switches save as you flip them.

Cart actions

Cart changes on your website, the bot adds to the cart the shopper is actually looking at, so their cart updates in front of them.

Checkout links on chat channels, on WhatsApp, LINE and elsewhere the bot puts the order together, then sends one link that fills the cart and opens checkout on your site. If your store is older than WooCommerce 10.0, or permalinks are set to *Plain*, this switch is replaced by a note explaining why. Fix either and the switch comes back on its own within a few hours.

With cart actions off, the bot still answers questions about products, prices, stock and your policies.

Limits

Most of one item per request is the biggest quantity of one product the bot will add at a time, up to 100. The bot knows the limit, so it says no politely instead of failing. It applies to cart changes and checkout links alike.

Hand over a checkout link decides whether the bot may point the shopper at checkout at all. Off, it builds the cart and leaves them to check out themselves.

Order Lookup

A shopper can ask about an order without logging in. The bot asks for the order number and the billing email, and your site answers only when the two belong to the same order. It shares that order's number, status, date, total, items and tracking, nothing else, and nothing about anyone else's order.

Someone guessing order numbers gets nowhere: without the matching billing email there is no answer, and repeated wrong guesses from the same place are blocked.

What It Costs to Run

The bot's ordinary AI usage is charged per message as always. Every time it checks your store is counted separately and listed in Usage & costs, so a day of heavy product questions is easy to explain. Model rates shows your current rates and estimates a month of traffic.

Test It

On your own storefront:

  1. "Do you have anything like <a product you stock>?"
  2. "What variations does it come in, and what do they cost?"
  3. "Is it in stock?", expect in stock or out of stock, never a number.
  4. "Add one to my cart", then open your cart page and confirm it is really there.
  5. "Where's my order?", give a real order number and its billing email.

Then, on WhatsApp or Telegram if you run one, ask for the same product and confirm you get a checkout link that opens a filled cart.

Common outcomes:

  • The bot answers generally instead of from your catalogue, the add-on is not on this bot, or WooCommerce is not active on the site.
  • Nothing lands in the cart, check Cart changes on your website is on. If it is, a caching plugin or your CDN is probably serving an old copy of the page; clear the cache and reload.
  • No checkout link on WhatsApp, WooCommerce older than 10.0, or permalinks set to *Plain*.
  • The order lookup refuses, the email must match the order's billing email exactly.
